Items Needed for The House of Hope

Large heavy duty trash bags, SOS or Brillo pads, automatic dish washer detergent, laundry detergent, (only high efficiency detergent will work in the new washer) sugar, tea Bags, Kool Aid, pine scent cleaning detergent, plastic 16oz. drinking cups, ice trays, solid room deodorizers, quart and gallon size baggies, aluminum foil, instant potatoes, and meats for supper meals. Home cooked meals are always welcome- just call and let me know when you want to bring one. Frozen casserole meals are also a big help.

News

A public forum for The House of Hope was held on February 19 @ 7:00 pm at First Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Cook of First
Baptist opened the meeting and thanked everyone for coming out. We had approximately 100 in attendance. Many questions were asked and answered with a surprise appearance from a former guest of the shelter. We were there when he needed somewhere to go and he offered many thanks to Steve and the House of Hope. Pastor Donnie Anderson led the forum with input from Niles Daly who provided information about the future plans for the forming of a board. Steve Anderson spoke of some of the guests that had come and gone through the shelter. Thank you Rev.Cook for providing us with a nice location in which to have this forum.

Message From The Director

At the present, since I arrived at The House of Hope, I have seen 23 people pass through our doors staying at least one night. We currently have 14 guests staying at the home. Two of our guests, Robert and William, are very excited and thankful to a family that wishes to remain anonymous for getting them two bus tickets to Georgia. They have work and a place to stay upon their arrival. Many thanks go out from them to you! There are many people and groups who have given their time and talents to provide meals, clean, paint, repair, and bring needed supplies. If we have neglected to send you a thank you , please accept our apology and a BIG , BIG THANK YOU!!!.
-Stephen Anderson, Director

Special Message to All of Our Supporters

We are so grateful to our group and individual supporters, for without your labors and finances HOH would not be here. Thank you. We are in the process of building our data base. Beginning immediately, we will attempt to recognize all of our group supporters and new individual supporters by listing them each month. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We love and appreciate all you are doing! May God richly bless each and every one of you.
