Message From The Director

The Director's Article of Appreciation

The month of April is now upon us. We are looking forward to the warmer weather in the coming season.

From the beginning of this year we have been able to bless 40 people that didn't have anywhere else to call home. While they were in the process of looking for work and programs to move their lives in a more positive direction, they had a place to call home here at The House of Hope. I am so thankful for all our donors that make it possible to keep our doors open. Without your continued support we would not be able to exist! This past month we had 16 guests and look forward to serving many more in the coming months ahead! Our donations were down the last two months, which puts a strain on being able to maintain the shelter. Please keep us in your prayers as times become more difficult due to the economy.

Since our beginning, 26 months ago, we have been able to be a shelter for 318 people that needed a place to stay while trying to find direction in their lives. You, our supporters have given shelter, food, a place to shower, wash clothes, relax, a place to feel welcome, and a place to see God's working in a powerful way due to your love right here at Your House of Hope! I personally want to thank you for all that you continue to do to provide a clean and wonderful place for the homeless in Danville while they are rebuilding their broken lives! To God be the glory!!!
My prayer is for many blessings to come your way!

God's blessing on you and your family,

God Bless,
-Stephen Anderson, Director

HOH President's Message

We again thank you for your regular, loving support to the House of Hope. Donations are still not what they need to be to continue providing quality, safe, comfortable living conditions for the homeless in Danville. We are confident however in your commitment to this very worthy cause. Thank you again for your continued support.

In His love. CAM

Anyone who needs a tax receipt for contributions sent directly to American National Bank for the House of Hope’s account should send a copy of the paid check to
the attention of Bob Wiles, Treasurer, Post Office Box 1197, Danville, VA 24543.

This documentation is required in order for the House of Hope to send the needed receipt that is required by IRS for charitable gifts of $250 or more.

Please know that we are deeply grateful not only for the hundreds of donors who have lent their support in 2009, but also for the pledge commitments that have already been received for 2010.
